Barbara's Story
Hola JHS Alumni, welcome to my life so far! After graduation, I went to UNC-W where I got average grades & met my 1st husband. After a year & 1/2, I was separated & joined the Air Force. Spent most of 6 years stationed in England, got to travel quite a bit, & met lots of people including husband #2. Had a boy & girl, then came back with my family to Nebraska in 1989. Discharged in 1991 to raise my kids, both special needs, then moved to TX in 1993. Went back to college in 1994 & got my BA in English/Spanish. fe as a single career mom. Not an easy task to be sure! My jobs have been mainly administrative & customer service, & I recently earned my state license in general life & health insurance. I also remarried last year to husband #3 and couldn't be happier! My son supposedly lives with my ex in Minnesota, & my daughter lives in a group home about 40 minutes away. I see her 2-3 times a month & she is very much like me. I am helping my new husband to raise 3 teenage girls & 5 cats, so we usually have a lot going on. And that is my life, at least the short version!
