Never expected to become an outdoorsy type, but life takes some unusual twists and turns. I enjoy hiking and almost all things active. I feel blessed to have a good life - good health, wonderful friends and plenty of opportunity to travel. Mostly I remember SHHS as an awkward time. I found college much more to my liking. I did my undergrad degree at the University of Redlands, then got my Masters at Vanderbilt in Nashville, Tennessee. It was a great experience to live in another part of the country, listening to "y'all" and "honey" a lot, but I was glad to be back in Southern California. So much for humidity, amazing lightening storms and the biggest bugs I'd ever experienced. I worked as a speech therapist and special education teacher for years, but, having spent WAY too much doing paperwork and sitting in meetings, I decided to take a year off and pick up a math credential.
