My Story: It starts before you knew me. I came to Danbury to Rogers Park Jr High in 9th grade and continued to DHS for 10th and 11th grade, then moving on to the Chicago suburbs for senior year. Many didn’t know that before I met you, I had lived in upstate New York (3 different places), New Jersey, Pittsburgh, and Chicago area! After Danbury, I moved to Arlington Heights, Illinois in the northwest suburbs of Chicago and have lived in various towns in Illinois ever since. My high school years were influential years and the friendships and love that came from my time at DHS stayed with me a long time. After DHS, I moved for my senior year, graduated, but I didn’t have the heartfelt ties that I did at DHS. Then I went on to college at Illinois State University and got an accounting & business bachelor’s degree. I passed the CPA exam and worked at a big public accounting firm in Chicago. I then moved to a national finance company where I stayed for 30 years, working in internal audit, accounting, and information technology. I then retired early due to health issues.
