Barbara's Story
Life
Life has been interesting here in New Mexico for the last 25 years. When we first arrived, for my husband's job, I never thought this change would have so much of an impact on me and my family.
I am the Special Education Coordinator of an alternative high school here in Farmington, New Mexico. My husband, Florian, has just retired and has already learned how to do nothing. Our three children, one boy and two girls, have given us a total of 8 grandchildren. There are 4 girls and 4 boys rangeing in age from 18 years to 6 months.

egree is in Elementary Education with an endorsement in Special Education and my husband's degree is in Accounting. My oldest daughter, Tammy, is working on her BS in Social Work/ Counseling. My middle daughter, Teri, has her Masters in Elementary Education and has been a 2nd grade teacher for 10 years.
My son, Timothy, just finished his Masters in Architecture and is now working toward the completion of his license requirements.
We returned back to Buffalo 2 years ago, for my stepson's wedding, and saw many changes to the old homestead. I know one thing, I still can't deal with the weather. It's either too cold or too wet. I know the weather here in New Mexico works better for me.
I wish the best to all my fellow classmates as we enter our golden years. I'm still not sure what that means, but I know I'm older, slower, tire more quickly, and enjoy doing nothing from time to time. God Bless You All!!! Barb
