Barbara's Story

I grew up in Dryden, my mom still live in the same house. Dad passed away Nov. 23, 2020, at the age of 101, Mom is 95 in March. Married Bob Smith in 68’ and went to Germany as an Army wife, lived there for 16 months. We have 3 sons, Tom, Kevin and Jamie. Worked on a horse farm for 10 years, then got a “real” job as my mother would say. Retired after 22 years as a medical receptionist. hich is a boarding facility. So I guess technically, I didn’t retire, just changed occupations. Much happier dealing with animals.....I guess that won’t surprise anyone. I always loved jumping but due to a back injury, I now ride gaited horses and stick to trails. My husband Bob of 54 years, passed away unexpectedly on Friday January 13, 2023. So far this year sucks! 2 years and not a single scratch....then there’s a 17 yr old girl, not paying attention, texting, panics in traffic...who knows what and destroys the whole side of my car and keeps going. Bet she won‘t be driving now!
