Barbara's Story
Life
I retired from public education in Anchorage, Alaska six years ago. I had spent nearly 30 years in education, starting as a 6th grade teacher in a Catholic School in 1968. I returned to the east coast after graduating from Phillips in 1971, and taught 7/8th grades in New Brunswick, New Jersey. ed with the school district and worked my way through my career from teacher to coordinator to Principal of an alternative school for at-risk middle and high school students. I retired in 2001.
Two years ago, I located a winter home in the Tulsa, Ok. area and now travel, work dogs, and garden between Alaska in the summer and Oklahoma in the winter. I would love to reconnect with Phillips folks in the Oklahoma area.
