Barbara's Story
We moved from San Jose to Tulsa in 1979. Two years later, after being a stay-at-home mom for almost 15 years, I fell into a job working for the Tulsa Police Dept., and ended up as the administrative assistant to the Homicide Squad and the Detective Division Commander. ration, maybe not-- but we enjoyed traveling around the country, watching them play in tournaments. Now I have five grandsons; the oldest is 16. I've been married 57 years; and my husband is a retired engineer.
Favorite vacation spots - Custer State Park in the Black Hills in South Dakota, Taos, NM., (especially in the Fall), and Payson, AZ
I think about the good old Pioneer days often. I will be visiting San Jose more frequently now that my youngest son and his family have moved back there. I will always miss California--the mountains, the beaches, and the weather--but definitely not the traffic. I hope life has been good to all of my high school friends.
