Barbara's Story
I'm still livin' in Tustin. Dad has alzheimers so have spent the last 7 years caring for him.
I was married for 20 years and have 1 daughter Kelly who is married to a great guy. No grandchildren yet...
I met Willie 12 years ago and we have been together ever since...we love playing pool, motorcycles, quads - toys!
Until recently I kept score at the Speedway races in Costa Mesa, Industry, San Bernadino, Victorville and Perris. I worked the first 6 seasons at the CA Speedway in Fontana on the wreckers - turn 2 - and had a blast! Like the Nascar team; CART and Indy were fun but hard to work with....made some great friends and heard some great gossip and yes, I did meet Dale Earnhardt and he told me to remember that Life is a verb - I'll never forget that. Same with Rich...Expand for more
ard Petty after his grandson Adam was killed "Never put a question mark where God has already put a period."
Some day Willie and I will head for New Mexico and a slower paced life but until then Tustin is just fine.
I'm fairly involved in political issues; have gone to protests, rallies and held signs on a street corner and consider myself an independant. I'm working with 2 groups to make Commiefornia go back to a part time legislature - did you know it was part time until 1966 when Sacramento gov't bldgs had air conditioning installed....
I've been blessed - a great family, wonderful friends and the love of my life.
My best friend would tell you I'm often too vocal, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as shy. Contradiction? oh yeah...
