Barbara's Story
Graduated from Citizens Hospital School of Nursing and worked there for 2 years. Married The Rev. Robert Haslage and served parishes in Homestead and West Newton, PA. In February, 1968, we moved to Hollywood, Florida, where Bob helped Trinity Lutheran Church, Pembroke Pines, build a new church. Although our daughters were born in Greensburg, PA, they consider themselves Floridians. Beth Ann graduated from Florida Southern College in Lakeland and Meg is an alumus of Florida State University. Bob retired in 1985 and we relocated in Tallahassee. I retired after working 17 years in Labor & Delivery. diagnosed with brain cancer, we moved to Stuart where we would be close to our daughters and there families. Bob went to his eternal reward in 2008, my mother and her sister joined him in 2009. When I returned my aunt to New Kensington for her funeral, I renewed a friendship with Dale Wolfe, class of '52 and we have been together since 2010. I am now enjoying my condo, my grandsons, Cameron, Cole and Cody. I look forward to all of them graduating from college. Since I spend most of my time in Florida, I call myself a "reverse Snowbird" spending the summers in New Kensington with Dale. Since he still enjoys his work at Wolfe Metal & Fab. Dale only spends the winter with me in Florida. God has blessed me richly and I know Jesus is not done with me yet.
