Barbara's Story
Life
Right after graduating from good old Lincoln High, I was married and started a family right away. So, the first 15 years was pretty much busy with raising children. I was a stay-at-home mom, pretty much. We lived in WA, and then in 1968 moved to Montana and lived there for 4 years. That was a pretty interesting experience. Then in 1972 we moved back. My husband, Warren, is in the HVAC industry. In 1986 we started our own business, and have been running that business ever since. We have 3 children, and 7 grand-children. We've been married 42 years and think that maybe it might last. We've been raising one of our grand-sons for the last four years. We think he'll be around till he graduates. He's 17. Retirement is more and more on our minds. Maybe in a couple more years. We love to go to Hawaii -- the Big Island, and try to get over there once a year. We live on a mini-farm with three horses, chickens, ducks, dogs, cats, and one daugher with her family next door. Makes for a pret...Expand for more

School
I enjoyed going to Lincoln High. My home was close by, so I was able to walk to school. Looking back, I wish I would have gotten involved with more activities that were offered at that time. It seems that I found myself busy enough, though, with studies and some social activities. I enjoyed bookkeeping and office classes,and remember a Mr. Wilson who was very helpful with those classes. The office classes came in very handy when we finally started our own business. It seems I never forgot the basics, although it was many, many years later. High School is such a strange time of life. So many new things, and so little time to start growing up. It seems like a blur to me, now. With so many students, I never was able to get to know only a few. Sorry to say, there are only two friends from Lincoln that I've stayed in touch with. Perhaps I can find more by using Clasemates.
