Barbara Martin's Story

Workplace Dr. Keeping has 35 years of combined experience in medicine and psychology. She is a registered nurse with a specialty in orthopedics and the operating room. Her doctorate is in Behavioral Medicine/Health Psychology. She has studied, trained and worked with Dr. Frank Lawlis for 20 years. These disciplines combine with her Masters of Education degree to create an approach to her work that is holistic. Knowledge of the body and mind along with her experience in teaching and training has contributed to the building and success of several pain management and work hardening clinics and programs through out these 35 years. ...Expand for more
Dr. Keeping has been involved in several areas of health and healing which have included working with various Native American tribal centers, AIDS programs, cancer rehabilitation and counseling, rape crisis and child sexual abuse centers. She is also certified in hypnotherapy, does Life Coaching with corporate executives, physicians and attorneys. She lectures and facilitates groups for nurses, women and men in life transitions and is trained in Court Room Forensics and profiling. Her several research projects have primarily been focused on pain management, i.e. carpal tunnel and management of pain without the use of medications.
