Barbara's Story
Life
Being new to the school district and basically shy, I graduated in 1971 knowing just a few people well enough to call them "friend". I'm sure I remember a lot of you from class room experience, and would be interested in hearing about your lives. If asked who my best friend was at North, I would have to say Carol Hornak. After I moved to Springfield & we both got busy raising our children we lost touch. I was shocked to read her obituary in the newspaper in 2002, and realized how many memories of our good times at NHS she was taking with her. She had a wild sence of humor and we would laugh until we cried and couldn't catch our breath! Do you remember her?
Others in my group of friends were: Belinda Donley, John Creachbaum, Cliff Crooks (from the Red Cross Club), none of which I know anything about beyond 1974 or so.
As for me, I've been married to a wonderful man for almost 24 years. He is an

ly years, I'm proud to have been blessed with the opportunity to be a" stay at home mom" while raising our son, Jonathan. I did a lot of volunteer work within the school, especially in the lower grades planning "art" projects once a week and working directly with the children.
We have enjoyed a lovely home on Choctaw Lake just north of London for the last 17 years. We love to take cruises, island hop in Hawaii every two years, and we'll go just about anywhere that offers up beautiful scenic photography.
Now that our son lives in Atlanta GA, (a student of Digital Media at the Art Inst.) I still find an outlet for the "artsie" side of me by teaching classes in all sorts of paper arts such as rubbers stamping and scrapbook design, which has taken me down the path of geneology when journaling our families heritage. I'm enjoying the process very much!
I'm so glad that I found this sight. I encourage you to write a bio as it would be great to know you and your world these 35 years later! (How did that happen?)
