Barbara's Story
Life is good. Met my husband right after graduation, July 29th to be exact. Dated for 6 years (and boy did we have a blast) before getting married in 95.
Despite the 'he's too old for her' remarks (He's only 5 years older), we are still going strong. Usual rollercoaster of marriage but there's noone I'd rather be on the ride with. We were married for 4 years before our first daughter Sara. We did some traveling and bought our house in that time. Sara joined us in September and Erin the following year in November of 2000. I am just now getting caught up on sleep.
Decided to forgo the working life and stay home with the girls for 7 years. Joined a MOMS Club, took the girls everywhere imaginable, and enjoyed the time. During the time home, I went back to coll...Expand for more
ege at night, received my Special Education and Middle School Math state certifications and became a teacher, at my old middle school (Sandburg, the best!). Now I am enjoying a new career, continuing my education (only 6 more classes away from my Masters) and part of an awesome family.
I think I still have not found myself totally. Working on who/what I want to be when I grow up. In regards to education, they say education is wasted on the young. How true that is. I can't believe I'm actually paying for school now when in High School I was continually looking for new and adventurous ways to cut out of my classes!
A favorite saying/quote (thanks to my daddy), it's better to be sorry for something you did than for something you didn't do. Always try new things!
