Barbara's Story
Life
Since high school, I moved to Chicago and have been blessed with 3 wonderful children now 20, 18 and 13. Mark, Alyssa and Jason! things change fast. Since my divorce in 2002, I have met the most wonderful man ever (if you know me, it's funny for me to say wonderful and man in the same sentence) and am now married. We divide our time between IL and NV where we have a house in each state.
School
In school, I was a middle of the road person. I had various friends from every group there was, but not very popular. I was quiet and for the most part could not wait for school to be over. I was a member of OEA, LUCHA and the yearbook staff. Also a part of journalism. My goals at that time were to move away from NM, do something with my creativity and get married and have four child...Expand for more
ren and still manage a career. I have done all of the above, except I had 3 instead of 4 children (no regrets though!) Three is hard enough.
Workplace
since high school I worked numerous waitress jobs, then traveled the United States for 1 year selling cleaner door to door, settled down in Illinois became an office assistant while I dabbled in web design on the side (1988) By 1997 I had the courage to bring my designs out in the open and let people see my creativity. This led to many side jobs and eventually led to my success with my small business. I am glad I took that chance even though it took 9 years to do it I did and I couldn't be happier. Instead of working harder for money I am doing what I truly enjoy and am rewarded substantially via money, family life and less stress.
