Barbara's Story
Hello classmates:
I have such fond memories of the NPH Class of 1956, it was a wonderful time of my life, After graduating I attended Hairdressing school, and practiced it for many years. I then turned to a second career working at AT Cross in Lincoln RI, I worked as supervisor in management in several areas, including lead inspector in quality control. I worked at ATC until I retired in December of 2000. It was at that time I achieved the one and only goal on my bucket list. I spent two weeks in Italy, with my granddaughter. I will never forget the joy of seeing this beautiful breath taking country and being with Lauren. In 2004 I started spending my winters in Florida. I rented in Bal Harbor for three years and Fort Lauderdale for two years before purchasing my condo in West Palm Beach (Greenacres) Florida, in 2009. manently in September of 2021. Since I've been in Florida for so many winters, I've taken advantage of cruising. After 35 cruises I think I've seen every island in the Bahamas and Caribbean several times. However that to is a memory of the past. My last cruise was before Covid and I no longer have interest in being on a cruise shop at all. RI will always be home for me, Our lives do change as we become seniors. I'll be 85 in October, and have lived a wonderful life with the exception of a divorce in 1995. My son is 62, and I'm extremely proud of him. He lives in the same community In Florida as I. We both had condos here and decided it was time to sell our 11 room house in NP and move to Florida permanently. I just renewed an old subscription to Classmates and was so happy to see that I received messages I was unaware of. Bless you all and stay happy, healthy and safe.
