Barbara's Story

Moved to Broward County, Florida in August of 1975. Married Paul Upmeyer on March 12, 1977 Two children: Nikki Marie and John Paul Three grandchildren: Alexzander-20, Zachary-17 (Nikki's) and John David (John's) Taught 35 years in Broward County - 23 years in elementary ranging from 2nd grade to 5th grade, and then 12 years teaching 6th grade science in middle school. Since retirement, I have done a lot of cruising - mostly with my friend, Valerie. We have cruised from Montreal to Ft. Lauderdale, San Diego through the Panama Canal to Ft. Lauderdale, River Cruise on Viking from Amsterdam to Budapest, Western, Southern, and Eastern Carribean and a 24 day cruise around the Mediterranean - Spain, France, Croatia, Sicily, Italy, Greece, and Turkey.
