Barbara Skei Miller:  

Life I'm married and have two sons and two granddaughters. I live in Oakland, California. My husband, Dick, is a retired ophthalmologist; my son John is an elementary school teacher and son Jeff is a graphic artist. I went to college at the University of Illinois; I went to graduate school at UC Berkeley where I earned a masters' in English. I work as a consultant to Nonprofit organizations' boards of directors, and before my husband retired I managed his medical practice. My hobbies are singing, gardening, knitting, needlework, reading and skiing. I particularly love singing--I sing in a symphony chorus, a women's ensemble specializing in early music, and a church choir. My love of singing began when I was in Mrs. Lowry's classes in East Alton Jr. High and grew even more thanks to the music program at EAWRCHS.
