Barbara's Story
My son wants to join "Deadliest Catch" ..maybe I'll make it to Alaska one day Mabel.
After McDuffie I went to Syracuse for 2 years then to Washington and got my degree in Occupational therapy at the University of Puget Sound. Met my first husband in Colorado shortly after. He was an inspiring actor. We traveled together on his Fullbright scolarship to Paris for 2 years. Never was good at languages but managed to get by in French. From there we landed in NYC - where else does an actor go. Wasn't cut out for the insecurities of theater life so we went our separate ways.

here I still work as an OT designing high tech wheelchairs, he as a newspaper editor. No retirement yet!
We have a 200 yr old home in the country now surrounded by mc-mansions! Lots of time spent keeping it glued together.
Fifteen years ago we adopted a wonderful boy. He has ADHD. I've learned this is just a broad term for a whole lot of social and educational problems. He is a challenge. We found a wonderful special school for him that has a farm for animal based therapy. After 3 years he's doing well. Please support mental health initiatives. There aren't enough programs for our kids.
Still skiing but probably shouldn't be with 2 hip replacements.
