Barbara's Story
Life
Went to Northern Arizona University, dropped out, worked and lived in western Massachusetts at a vegetarian diner with another TJ grad for a while. Returned to NAU got into Kundalini yoga, got saved --thank you, Jesus--1973, graduated 1975, double major: Creative Writing and Zoology. Moved to Mexico, taught English at a private language institute, returned to US. Went to grad school, Wheaton College, Illinois, MA in Counseling Psych, 1980. aduation, worked at community mental health center as therapist. Moved to East Coast 1982, worked as therapist, counselor, adoption worker with Catholic Charities for 13 years, mostly part-time after the first few years. Also taught ESL seven years with county adult ed program. In 1997 returned to full time work with the State of Delaware as adoption worker. Married, three wonderful children, small town living, not far from the beach resorts. Promoted to permanency supervisor, retired from that position.
