Barbara's Story
I was friendly but quiet in high school, mostly due to lots of family problems at home caused low self esteem. I spent alot of time alone. When I was a little girl I used to play by myself at the Green Lawn Cemetary..(I loved the flowers)...I guess that could be considered alittle strange...but when you have to amuse yourself..it wasn't too bad...:) I married the day I got out of high school. Why didn't someone just shoot me and get me out of the misery of the next 24 years! How dumb are we anyway at that age. On the brighter side, I have two grown daughers and 4 grand children and 1 great grand child. After my divorce (fondly remembered by me as prison)I went to college for 2+ years. te Appraising license. I remarried 17 years after my divorce and my husband died in 1995. I am still working and enjoy my life. I grew up in Liberty Addition. That seemed like the county to me back then. Adamston JH was over crowded so we were sent to North View. I enjoyed my years at North View Junior High...I know some of the Norh View girls didn't like us Adamston people at first...but they warmed up! Then to Victory..I liked my school years...I have one Brother, Danny, who is retired and living in Falling Waters, WV in the Eastern Panhandle. So hello out there to all my old (sorry) school mates..I don't always have alot of time for surfing classmates...but is it nice to go in and look around sometimes...take care...barbara
