Barbara's Story
Life
After leaving Tam, I worked for Longs Drugs in San Anselmo for 6 years. I got tired of the corprate thing and sold all my belongings to tour the united states for 1 year. I landed in Indiana where I sold truck parts in a 4 state territory.
I moved back to California in 78. I met my husband at my sister Margie's next door neighbors house. A year and a 1/2 later we married at the Mill Valley Art and Garden Center.
We lived in San Rafael (Canal area) until 84 when we moved to Rohnert Park.
My husband (Larry) is a contractor and was building a house for his niece in Cameron Park (east of Sacrament off of Hwy 50). We fell in love with the area so we moved here in 89.
We brought our 2 boys (Jeff born in 83 and Greg ...Expand for more
born in 85) 1 horse, 2 goldens and a cat to the country.
In 2000 we sold the country house and moved to the "City" (Placerville). We have .4 acres in town now and love our life. The boys are grown and gone. Jeff bought a house in Carmichael and Greg lives with him.
Larry isn't ready to retire yet so I work part time at Sundance Spas and Health in Shingle Springs.
We still love to camp and fish. I love to travel, garden and play with my new love, a long haired Chihuahua. Since I wrote this I have purchased another Chi. and plan to breed them come winter of 2008/2009
