Life
My Pets
I am without pets at this time. Both my furry friends have left this life. Right now too busy to take on another. But I will, in a few years.
My Kids
My daughter, Beth, is an Art Therapist working near Detroit, married to a fine young man, John, who is a lawyer. They live close enough to me that we see each other about once a month.
My son, Rich, is driving the US Mail, married to Lisa, and lives in Greater Cleveland. We talk often.
My Job
I pastor a small United Church of Christ congregation in a small town (725- really!) in central lower Michigan. I have 139 members and am kept quite busy. I love my job, but have many quiet nights and miss having old friends around. It is a joy to be a part of the liv...Expand for more
es of my people -- from birth to death, and all of the stops in between.
My folks
I still have my mother and my step mother living in facilities about 12 miles from here. My dad died recently, and I miss him. But I consider myself lucky to have them into their late 80's.
I would love to see Mrs. Govan again. What a great person.
To be truly happy, I would be at the shore, enjoying the sun and seafood, with someone special. I am widowed and still miss having a companion to share life's joys and mishaps.
I never expected to be widowed at 49. Leaves a lot of life to be lived without a partner.
I have lived in Cleveland, Lorain, Lancaster PA. Livonia, MI and Tekonsha, MI. Moved for job transfers and to attend school.
