Barbara's Story
It's me Barbara (Chesser) Jolley, the girl who was pregnant in high school. I had 2 more kids, and now have 5 grandchildren.
I became very ill over the years, with a familial disease. I know some of my classmates thought me weird, or at least eccentric. In all actuality I was showing the first signs of my illness. ck then. Then medications improved and I got much better. Began volunteering at a nursing home. Did that for 2 years and then enrolled in college. Finished my basics and then enrolled in nursing school. Graduated with top honors, receiving 2 degrees. Am now an RN working on a geriatric psych unit.
Many people over the years have helped me tremendously, and others have written me off as a lost cause.
No matter what, don't ever give up hope!
