Barbara's Story
In 1960 became an Honored Queen of my chapter of Job's Daughters.
I went to college (Pasadena City College and Los Angeles Pacific College) to be able to teach in elementary school. I Started teaching in Paramount School District where I met my future husband, Don. We were married in 1967. I taught kindergarten, first grade and third grade there for seven years. After my husband got his master's degree in mathematics at Claremont Graduate...Expand for more
School in 1971, we moved to Texas (TAMU)so he could work on his Ph. D. in Computer Science (1975). Our first son was born in 1972. We moved to Colorado for a couple of years where our second son was born in 1975. We then we moved to Northern California where he taught Computer Science at a large university for 28.5 years. we retired in 2004 and have been enjoying life ever since.
I like music, cats and dogs, and playing the stock market.
