Barbara's Story
Life
I have lived in Michigan about 45 yrs.
My husband and I live in Ludington, MI.
We have great access to Lake Michigan (boat ramps and a special (Barrier Free) walkway down near the water. Often in the summer we go down by the boat docks and enjoy the view ( fishermen, boaters, waiting for the car ferry to return/leave for its journey to Manitowoc, WI. and if we wait long enough we see some beautiful sunsets). North of town we have Ludington State Park which has some very nice campsites, boat launch, fishing, trails, sand dunes and much more. We have biked out to Big Sable Point Lighthouse and when we get there the view is beautiful.
I sometimes miss the ranches and vineyards in Easton, and the hills/mountains in CA.
We each have three adult children from our first marriages.

My father (Finis D. Fain/"Cannon Maker") passed away in 1990 and we lost my mother in 2011 (she was 97yrs).
And to round out our happy family, I mustn't forget my/our furry felines, I have always had a special place in my heart for animals (especially those in need). After we had to have my cat of 16yrs and dog put down (old age/sickness) I didn't feel I could share my love with any more pets. I would distance myself from any attachments. Until one summers day when this stray cat decided I would be the one she would choose to make friends with. I could tell she was hungry (plus she let me know), I did try to keep my distance but she found my weak spot. Well nearly three years later and 4 offspring (all have been fixed) we now share our home with 5 kitties. :)
