Hi everybody! Thanks for the request for my story! Of course, I'm going to leave out anything that is not complimentary, so you'll only be getting part of my story! After four years at Greeley, I headed to Ohio Wesleyan University for the best 4 years of my life. I expected to be a drama major, but for my first Spanish class I had to read 25 novels in 10 weeks, so I decided not to try out for any fall plays or take any drama classes my first year. That decision set me on my course for a Romance Language degree and a teaching certification. After applying for jobs in Ohio and NY, I headed back to NY and lived mostly in Dutchess County from 1979 until 2008. Pawling, NY is the best town in America! During that time I had my kids and got my Masters of Science in TESOL (English as a Second Language), divorced and remarried, and started a career teaching at Ossining High School in Ossining, NY. Let's see....here's my kids run-down. Kelly Ann McCaffrey, now 30 years old (yikes!) lives in Liberty NY with her 7 year old son; Keren Francis McCaffrey, 26, lives in Yorktown Heights, NY with her soon-to-be 5 year old son; Stephen Harvey McCaffrey, 23, works in NYC and is in the process of getting an apartment there. My second child, Megan Barbara McCaffrey, was born on Dec 23, 1981 and died on Dec. 24, 1981 of cardiac arrest during open-heart surgery. This was the life-changing event for me.
