Barbara's Story
I attended UWM after high school and got my BA in Cultural Anthropology in 74. I also got married that year- not a great choice and it was over by 78. I worked at UWM right after graduation for 4 years and then moved to Minneapolis,MN to attend grad school for Public Health. I spent two years there, but did not graduate. It was not the right time and did not care much for the town or the school. my second husband and having my daughter there in 1982, I moved back to Wisconsin (Green Bay) in 1983 to accept a job there with the Oneida Tribe(I am a member). I lived in Green Bay until 2000 and moved back to Milwaukee that year. I got married in 2001 to Jerry- a fantastic guy and am very happy! My daughter is doing well and I am enjoying my life, although not the weather in Milwaukee. I am a born-again Christian and Jesus Christ is the center of my heart and life.
