Barbara's Story
I attended Jeff State for 1 1/2 years after graduating from Banks. I married in 1972 and we traveled extensively, and lived in alot of cities throughout the the U.S. and Canada. In 1980, our son Scott was born. He lives in Montgomery where I reside. Scott is a computer programmer and has recently become engaged. I have no grandchildren as of right now, but I do have 4 cats!
In the mid '80's, I persued a country music career in Nashville. I formed my own band and sang in different locations, including the Opryland Hotel, Opryland USA, Tootsie's Orchid Lounge, and The Nashvill...Expand for more
e Palace. It was there where I met and became good friends with Randy Travis, with whom I'm still friends. It was such an exciting and amazing experience for me during that time in my life!
I have now been with the City of Montgomery for 14 years. I also volunteer with the Junior League of Montgomery. I am a member of Frazer Memorial United Methodist Church and participate in several activities there. I attend most of the BAMA football home games, and a few of the Braves games. I LOVE going to Atlanta, Nashville, and Tuscaloosa to visit friends, sightsee, and shop. ROLL TIDE!!!
