ross-country skiing, back-packing, gourmet cooking, studying various stringed instruments (harp, zither, Appalachian dulcimer, autoharp), playing piano. The former were the hobbies of my youth; the last thirteen years I have had neurological (spine & nerve) problems and chronic pain problems that interfere with active pursuits like these. I still knit (for kids in Afghanistan & S. Africa), read and play the piano & feel blessed that I can still do these things.
Have lived in either the Mojave Desert or the mountains around it since 1963. Have lived in Palmdale, CA for the last 31 yrs. happily married to my Tech engineer for 51 yrs. now. We have two dogs: a rescue Shih Tzu and a dachsund .
We have been members of the same church, St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Lancaster, CA, for 47 yrs. A relationship with God and service to others is very important to us.
