Life Well, as the saying goes "You've come a long way, baby"...My journey has taken me from the south side of Chicago, working in the loop as an Exec. Secretary, to marriage, and moving to Alsip, Il. having 2 sons there and then shortly thereafter, moving to Theodosia, Mo. There my life changed dramatically and I went into "culture shock" living in the Ozark Mountains near a resort, population about 650 people. I was a stay-at-home mom there (thank God, there wasn't much work there any way) -- but did help my then husband in his packing house, meat delivery business. I had another child - this time a girl - then, in 1977 we moved to Mountain Home, AR. We owned a butcher shop -- after a fire in the store (1979) we moved out of town (4 miles actually) and did some mini-farming (chickens, ducks, even a pig) and raised our own veggies.
