Barbra's Story
Well, I'm not sure where to start, or end for that matter, so here goes:
I've climbed the Great Wall of China and explored the Forbidden City; I've climbed up and jumped off a 40 ft. telephone pole (in harness); I've swam, or rather soared through the air, with dolphins.
I love living out West and love the red rock mountains and the desert flora. I occasionally miss Manhattan at Christmas, north of Westchester in the Fall and the beach in the Summer - but only occasionally.
What I love and do in my workaholic spare time: I love to travel and have been to 18 countries and many of our states. I love gardening, and yes, zucchini can grow in the desert. I'm very involved with a several charitable organizations as well as social ones. I love reading, movies and gourmet meals. My wild partying days are over for the most part, although every time I visit New York that part of me seems to resurrect itself.
Through work and friends in Vegas, I've had the opportunity to party with the cast of the Sopranos and to meet many stars including two of my all time favorites: Don Johnson and George Clooney. Yes, that's t...Expand for more

My newest interests lie in the metaphysical/ spiritual arena and politics. And, in 2008, much of my time was spent supporting Barack Obama for President.
Family - I was married in 1986, separated in 1992 and divorced (finally) in 1994, a year after moving to Las Vegas, Nevada. I never had any children although I wanted them badly. My brother lives down the block. I moved in with my Mom after my Dad passed away last year, a year after my sister, Roberta, had passed.
Career - I went from banking and a VP of marketing position for a nationwide S&L to Casino Marketing in Las Vegas for the last 16 years.
Education - I earned a BA in Pol Sci from SUNY at Stony Brook and an MBA from CUNY Baruch College. I get the itch every now and then to take a class of one sort or another - gaming, importing, painting, drafting, autocad, non-profit...
I value my friends, both local and afar as well as those from way back. I am filled with gratitude for my family here and my many cousins, aunts and uncles in New York. Life is good.
