Bard's Story
College
Started out at UGA (University of GA) and got my BS in Education, then on to Georgia State University for my Masters in Education. After a few years in the classroom, I went back to UGA and completed my doctorate in education.
While at UGA (the first time), I had a blast. I joined a fraternity, won a seat in student government and won a milk chugging contest (unrelated events).
Workplace
Life's a blast! After graduation, I got a teaching degree from UGA and then taught middle school for 10 years in Gwinnett Co. After getting a doctorate and a promotion to the district's technology coordinator, I got itchy for a change. I joined Apple Compu...Expand for more
ter as director of strategic initiatives and moved to Boston and, later, after a couple of promotions and a move to Silicon Valley California managed consumer/games marketing. Over the years, I've written a few books and enjoy doing keynotes at education/technology conferences. In 2001, I cashed in and joined a marketing company, Techthree, Inc. and as their President and CEO. In 2008, I stepped down at Techthree and became their Chairman of the Board so I could join TiVo as their Director of Marketing. Fast forward a few more years and I'm VP of Alain Pinel Realtors, the 5th largest real estate brokerage in the US. I love living in sunny California!
