More about Barre:"I have lived in Central Oklahoma most of my life. Born in OKC and lived there until I was 8. Moved to Dallas for a short period then moved back to OKC. I went to all of 5th grade in Brooklyn NY. Not the greatest experience for a 11 year old but would love to go back to visit now. After that I spent my summers in Douglas WY. and went to school at Dale Ok. Graduated from Dale High School in 1981 and went to Oklahoma State University where I received my bachelor degree in Business Managment in 1985. I then, still not ready to get a real job, spent the ski season in Vail CO. I worked as a prep cook at the Spruce Saddle in Beaver Creek. I met my wife Kim there on March 1st, 1986 and have been with her ever since.
After the snow was gone, I somehow talked Kim into moving to Shawnee Oklahoma. We both got real jobs and I began working in the fast food industry where i spent the next 10 years. In 1996 with help from my mother and others we opened a Mail Boxes Etc. in Shawnee. Somehow, with the grace of God, we were able to buy another MBE in OKC and we have never looked back. Kim and I have proven to be a great team, She does the bookkeeping and I do the rest. I could have never done it without her.
I have 2 great kids, Shyla 24, and Trey, 22. Shyla has worked for us in our Shawnee and OKC stores for ten years. She has amazing customer service skills and although we sometimes had trouble working together, she was a great help to me. She has 2 wonderful kids now. Jorden, 4, and Jaidyn 2. Jorden spent a lot of time with us his first year and I have grown so close to him. He is the most amazing child. I love him so much.
Shyla married Ryan Hohlier in 2008 and they live in Norman about 45 minutes from us. Shyla is my favorite child. ;-)
Trey is a Junior at UCO and also works our store. He and his fiancee, Nicole, live in Tecumseh.
