Barry's Story
Life
After graduating from Glass in 1964, I entered Lynchburg College and graduated in 1968 with a BA in
Business Administration. I was on active duty in the United States Navy from 1968 to 1971.
I worked in the financial industry with small loan companies and banks from 1971 thru 2002; AVCO financial services as manager of several branches in Virginia, Kentucky and Ohio. Collections with United Virginia Bank, (now Suntrust) and collectio...Expand for more
ns manager with First Federal Savings Bank,which merged with One Valley Bank. Assistant Vice President and Vice President with One Valley Bank and BB&T bank, 1986-2002.
Retired from BB&T bank 12/31/2002. I have 4 children, 2 girls by a previous marriage, who have 5 kids of their own, (I believe they're called my grand-kids), and a boy and a girl in my current marriage, which is in it's 26 year.
Current: Enjoying retirement!!!!!!!!!!!
