Barry's Story
After Lyman, Barry served four years in the Marine Corps. He then attended Seminole Community College and UCF, where he graduated in 1976 with a Bachelor's degree in General Science. Barry went to work for Nabisco Brands and worked in Orlando, Oklahoma City, and New Orleans. In 1996, the company was bought by KKR and was downsizing. Milwee Middle School for ten years. Barry was retired and living in Longwood with his nephew, niece-in-law, and great nephews. Barry passed away peacefully at AdventHealth Altamonte Springs at age 73 after contracting pneumonia. Barry very much embraced the role of “Great Uncle.” His kindness, generosity, wisdom, passion for learning, love of history, and devotion to his family will not be forgotten. He will be missed dearly by family, friends, neighbors, and colleagues.
