Bart's Story
Life:
I am married to a wonderful woman named Jackie and have been for an unforgettable 34 years, will be 35 years this December.
We have 2 boys, both graduated college in '06 and are well on their way in their chosen career paths. Our oldest is an Air Force Major, pilot, stationed in New Mexico and our youngest is a certified Sous-chef working at a private resort in southern Florida. Since we are 'empty nester's' we can and do travel a lot to Florida and now, out to New Mexico. Our youngest has been married to a wonderful young lady for a little over 3 years now, Jackie and I are thankful every day for our new 'daughter'. We love our boys and daughter-in-law very much and try to never miss an opportunity to see them.
As for me, I am a retired Marine. Left Cabot in '78 but didn't go far to attend college. Attended UAM 78-81 in Monticello,...Expand for more
AR, where I met my future wife - Jackie, graduated 1982 with a BS in Physics and entered the Marine Corps that same year. I was on active duty with the Marine Corps for a little over 20 years, stationed at MCAS New River, MCAS Cherry Point and MCAS Futenma (Okinawa, Japan), flew the CH-46E and the KC-130F/R, retired in 2003.
My lovely bride, Jackie, is starting a new teaching job this coming school year (2015). She will be involved with developing and teaching the gifted program for two charter schools in Pulaski County. Since late 2005, I have been working as a contract, C-130J pilot simulator instructor, for the C130J-MATS program at Little Rock Air Force Base. Yes, I am now working for Air Force Blue and instructing Air Force pilots, however, "Once a Marine always a Marine" pretty much sums me up. Jackie and I moved to Cabot, summer '06.
