Beatrice's Story

Shortly after graduation I married a man I met at San Jose State and our son, Sam, was born in Oct. 1967. He is 41 now and has a daughter who is 22 and a son who is 6. We divorced and in 1972 I married my current husband, Frank. We have a daughter Amy who is 34, she is married to a wonderful man and they have three little girls. I have been a stay-at-home mom all these years, grateful for the opportunity to be home and raise my children and now to have my grandchildren nearby so my husand and I can be involved in their lives and watch them grow. and I have done some traveling: Europe, Tahiti, Australia, but now what we really enjoy is camping in our Airstream trailer. We took a 6 week trip across the US in 2001 and we have taken it to Canada but our favorite place to go is the Oregon coast. My hobbies include quilting, embroidery and crochet and I am involved with a quilt group that gets together once a year and makes baby size quilts for charity. I am also very involved in my church, I teach a ladies' Bible study class and I disciple and mentor younger women to love their husbands, love their children and to be keepers of their home.
