After graduation in 1990, I earned a Bachelor's degree in English Lit. from UCF in 1994 where I rocked out with the Alpha Delta Pi sorority. During that time I also won the title of DeSoto Queen (honored by the Hernando DeSoto Heritage Society of Bradenton), lived in Spain for almost half a year and taught ESOL, was engaged, married 13 months later, and began my career in teaching. WHEW! Mark, my husband (whom I met at Champs Sports in the DeSoto Square mall in 1991), is the executive producer of films at Focus on the Family in Colorado Springs, CO, where we live. We have two boys, Sam (born 1997) and Quinlan (born 2001). Our daughter, Delaney (born 1999) died when she was 16 months old (2001). A little bit about that: we know Jesus Christ is our salvation into heaven when we die, and because of that truth, we know we'll see Delaney again in heaven one day.
