Becky's Story

Life Hello Everyone. I work for a wonderful company in Burton. I just got engaged to my boyfriend Matt on Christmas Eve. We will be getting married in September of 2005. Im really excited. Mel and I are still the best of friends as I know we always will be. Im very fortunate to have a friend like her. She is certainly one of a kind. I still live in Birch Run. I purchased a house about 5 years ago across the road from my parents. I still have the Buick Regal AKA "THE BR" although it has been retired and is just sitting in my garagae waiting to be fixed up. Still runs though. I have 2 Dogs and 2 Cats. I hope to have children after I get settled into the married life, but I dont plan on rushing things. I still enjoy sleeping in on the weekends! I hope to hear from anyone soon. It is always a pleasure hearing what everyone is up to. School Yeah, I know who my biggest crush was but don't feel much like saying his name. I'm sure you know who you are. No teacher inspired me, but there were quite a few that I liked a lot. Mrs. Pollard, Mr. Carstenson, Mr. Davis, Mr. Kelly and Mr. Howelett. If I had it to do all over again would I? Yes I would, in a heartbeat. I'd probably not attend school as often as I did, and I would have gotten in more trouble. Does that make sense? No, not really, but when I look back I often think, "I should have done this, I should have done that, or said this or that." I had some pretty crazy moments with Dan Jones, Chris Scheffler, Joe Heath, Dan Gibson, John Gerskin and Melanie. That was the group for the most part. We had some pretty interesting parties at Joe's house and mine. The craziest party at my house was when my ex-boyfriend -- YOU ALL KNOW WHO THAT WAS -- slashed everybodies valve stems on the tires of their cars in the driveway. It was fun loading up like 6 tires in the back of my moms truck and taking them all to Totten Tire to get them fixed. We had some great moments with Stoney Creek and getting tanked up on "RED POP" and the after math of Subway and alcohol. I obviously can't tell you all the great moments I had, but those of you who were closest to me know what I'm talking about. I guess the happiest thing I remember was when Mel and I started talking again after our little fall out over some miscommunication tha...Expand for more
t occurred. We are still the best of friends and I am glad we are. John Gerskin....If you are out there and you read this.....you need to get ahold of me. I miss you dearly. I'm easy to track down so dont use that as an excuse. Take care everyone!!!! College Okay, college.....yeah, it wasnt for me. I hated it in fact. I hated it so much but new I needed to go, so I would drive all the way out to SVSU, then turn around and go to the mall or Target. Once I got there, I couldnt stand the thought of being in class with a bunch of idiots that acted like it was still high school. So needless to say, I quit going all together and have been working ever since. Im glad I did. Workplace As you all know, Melanie and I were slaves at the Truck Stop in Bridgeport. We continued to work there for a long time while we went to school. I then moved on to working at Frankenmuth-Birch Run Veterinary Hospital, and kept the Truck Stop as a second job. Then my dad offered me a job at The Zack Company where I worked for a year until they closed. Keep in mind, I still could not let go of the Truck Stop. I worked there a few months into working at The Zack Company. I finally quit because I was making good enough money where I didnt need two jobs. After Zack closed, I collected unemployment and babysat here and there until my brother Dennis hired me to be his secretary for his company; Motor City Metal Fab, LLC. I worked there for a year until another opportunity popped up, and that is where I am at today. Flint Riggers & Erectors, Inc. I love it here. Hopefully, this is where I will end my job search unless of course, I hit the lotto or I inherit a bunch of money. Cause then it will be good bye Flint Riggers, Hello --- well, I dont know where I would go, but I do know I would quit working. I think I covered all my jobs and am pretty much done with this bio. Military Did not enlist into the Military because, well, Ill be honest with you, I didnt want to leave my friends and family. And honestly, do you really think I would have made it through boot camp. I dont think so. I would not have been able to live away from my mom and her great cooking, and besides, she is my best friend of all and I dont think I could or can live without her. Thanks Mom for being so wonderful. :)
