Becky's Story

Life Darren May and I were married in 1997 after dating since 1991. We have 2 boys, Nathan 8 and Devin 3 and one very long and very short chocolate lab mix, named Mario, that we found as a stray. We moved up to Dallas in 1994 when I got my first real job as a Director of Human Resources and Risk Management at a large nursing and retirement facility. After I had Devin, I decided to try the "stay at home mommy" thing for about 2 years and realized that although I love my children dearly I needed to work and be out of the house. I started a consulting business which led into a couple of different full time positions. We have just moved back to Georgetown in December 2006. I've been offered a job as the Exeuctive Director of a new continuing care retirement community that will open summer 2007. We are glad to be back because our families still live here. h is what he really wants to do. Before we moved he was very involved with Nathan's Cub Scout den in Rockwall. We would love to hear from you-- Workplace well after the great experience working for Sonic for 2 years of my life that I'll never get back, I went to college and moved up to working at a BBQ restaurant in San Marcos which left me smelling of smoked meat and onions that even my cat couldn't stand, from there I graduated into assembly work and worked on a soldering line melting molten solder onto pins that were on wires for God know what but I actually had a desk, then I worked as a nurse assistant which then gave me the training to be able to bathe old people in their homes for $10 a shower plus mileage(no I'm not kidding) - After graduating from college I did payroll, then human resources and, risk management, started my own consulting business and worked in downtown dallas-- Now I'm a highly successful, important exec, largely respected and adored by many.
