Becky's Story

Life I was married the end of my junior year of high school. Since then I have had two sons which have kept me busy and out of trouble. I was divorced 6 years later and have been a single mother ever since. To all the guys I went to high school with, Yikes the things you put your mothers through! Not having brothers, there definately were some fun and interesting discussions. They are now age 25 and 26. Yes, all three of us made it through the teen years intact. Neither of my son's are married yet. Which is fine, I always told them to get established first and get married around 30ish. Then kids around 33-36ish. Momma's in no hurry to be a Grandma. I'm too busy living life and busy spoiling my 7 year old niece Gillian who calls me Kiki. I am the proud Mother to a Chihuahua named Saucie who is 7. She is probably the sweetest dog ESPECIALLY for a Chihuahua. I take her wherever I possibly can. She is definately my best friend. There is nothing comparable to the unconditional love a dog gives. She is totally spoiled sweet. I can only hope to give her at least as much happiness and love as she gives to me. Hmmmm I wonder who needs who more here, haha. Still living in Colorado, the last 24 years I have been working at IHS and am currently the supervisor for our Production Control, CD/DVD Production and Warehouse groups. I just arrived back home from the UK on business. I always teased everyone that I would find me a tall dark Italian. Low and behold on the plan sitting next to me was an Italian. Okay so he wasn't tall, he wasn't dark and he was old enough to be my father. Oh well, in any case it was nice holding conversation, which we managed fairly well with what li...Expand for more
ttle English & French he knew and what bit of Italian & French I knew. About 3 years ago I took sailing lessons which was totaly awesome! When I have more time I want to pick back up on it and eventually be licensed to sail the Atlantic to Europe and down to the Caribbean. Its definately a dream I want to make real. I started my own natural bath salt, body butter, lotion, etc. company recently, The Celebrated Woman, LLC. which is doing well (celebrated-woman dot com). I designed and distributed my first company calendar this year called "All That We Are...Women in Sillhouette". It turned out really nice. Currently I sell domestic and internationally via eBay as I havent had time to complete my website. I also sell locally via different hair salons and Metaphysical shops around the Denver Metro area. For the last 2 1/2 years I have been taking ballroom dancing lessons and do VERY VERY MINOR local competitions with a friend of mine pictured with me in the red dress (if you forgot what I looked like, I'm the one in the dress, haha). What a blast!! We won Bronze Top Couple for a Tango/ChaCha solo we did. It was a total kick. We are gearing up for our next competition in August where we will do another solo and 3 freestyles in Rumba, Samba and Foxtrot. I won't say what the solo will be...just know that it isnt like the movie Saturday Night Fever. My advice to all of you who read this whether we knew one another or not...do all that you dreamed, don't allow fear to hold you back. Look for beauty, happiness and laughter in yourself and everything around you. At the end of the day don't have any regrets. Life is too short baby! Well enough about me - how about you?
