Belinda's Story
I attended Chirst Lutheran School in New Orleans Lower Ninth Ward darling! We moved to St. Bernard Parish (Chalmette) when I was in the 6th Grade. I transfered to Arabi Park Elementary in the middle of my 8th grade year. I started Andrew Jackson High School in 1976 and graduated in 1980. I attended UNO for 1 1/2 years as a communication major. Loved my 1 1/2 years as a collegiate Sigma Kappa member, but have had even more fun as a Sigma Kappa Alumna in the Greater New Orleans Chapter. After my time at UNO I decided to go to travel agent school. I remainded in the travel business from 1982 until 2003, it was a GREAT career! I didn't marry E.T., Dennis or Noel (three other loves of my high school years). Instead I went for Lenny! He and I have so much in common... we love to travel, love the theatre and both wanted a large family. Together we have 4 children, a great dane, a blue and gold Macaw parrot, a long haired chihuahua, several geese,...Expand for more
several guinea hens, ducks and of course, Elliot and Maggie (whom we think may be with child) the nubian pigmy goats!
Because of Katrina we wanted to be on higher ground so we relocated to Carriere Mississippi. Our oldest daugther Sarah is writes and sings her heart out as she attends college on a triple vocal scholarship at Pearl River Community College, where she lives in the dorm. Our second eldest daughter Rebekkah is a high school senior at Mississippi School of the Arts in Brookhaven Mississippi (2 hrs away) where she lives in the dorm during the week. Our son, Rhett is a freshman at Pearl River Central High School where he is in Competition Show Choir and Band. And our baby, Abby is in the 6th grade at Pearl River Central Jr. High where she is in the Competition Show Choir. We keep busy taking care of our kids, pets and 5 1/2 acres of lawn, plants and gardens. I still love to sew and wish I had more time for that and also my friends!
