Belinda's Story
I currently live in Atlanta, Georgia. I have been here nearly 8 years. I moved from Los Angeles after living there for 24 years. I went to college after graduation and got a BA,MA and a PhD. I have been very busy. I was in private practice for ten years and teaching at the college level for overs 30 years. I currently teach statistics at Spelman College and Psychology at Anthem Tech here in Atlanta. I got married a few years after we graduated. I was married for 18 years. I had a beautiful son who is so awesome. He is now enrolled in a doctoral program. He just got married a year ago so I have no grandchildren. I have a grand cat. t hopefully will be out in early 2014. My husband passed away in 2012 from a year long illness. The new CD will be in his memory.
.I am working with Marc Gordon who is one of the members of the R&B group called Lavert as a trustee and spokesperson for his foundation called SOELfoundation. It stands for Saving Our Entertainers Lives. Because of the death of both Gerald Lavert and Sean Lavert. and the many entertainers who are dying from drug abuse, the foundation was founded by Mark.
I founded an Organization called "Am I My Sisters Keeper". I have been doing this for 13 years. We are doing a conference here in Atlanta on November 9, 2013. It is so exciting. I guess that's me and what I have been up to. I a coming to the reunion and hope to see so many of my class mates and finding out how you are doing.
