After completing my enlistment, I worked for Southwestern Bell in Midland. Being young and quickly bored with a desk job, I hired on with a ranch in San Marcos where, along with doing regular cowboy stuff I drove cattle from from Texas to California and back.

ttled down.
I finished college shortly thereafter, and was hired by the Department of Justice as a Special Agent. We worked in Denver for eight years and were transferred to Honolulu where we worked Asian organized crime, anti-drug, intelligence, and special operations. In 1997 we transferred to the Los Angeles area, working intelligence operations in various parts of the world.
We retired in 2002, moved back to Denver, then back to California, and finally, in 2011, settled in Austin. My wife became ill shortly thereafter and passed in 2016. After a couple of years there, becoming a vegetable, I sold our home, bought some land by Hawley and built my new home.
