Berenice's Story
Life
In a nutshell. Got married in 1960 (to Clifford Iffland, class of 1956)had a girl (Heather)in 1964 and boy (Clifford Nelson) in 1966. Became a widow in 1967. Remarried in 1970. Built a house in Glen Ellyn Countryside in 1971. Divorced in 1986. Worked as a bookkeeper. Married Tony in 1992 after living together for 5 years. He was a carpenter and was born and raised in Osthofen, Germany. He immigrated here in the late 50's and is a citizen. My daughter has one girl (Lana) who is 33, married with one child, a son, Guy. My son has 2 boys, Ulrik, 20 years old and Luke, 17 years old. My daughter remarried (his name is John).. She is living in Elk Grove Village and my son lives in St. Charles.

ied at home on July 10, 2009. Just when I was getting on my feet, sort of, emotionally, I was called to Independence, Mo and sat for a week watching my brother fading away until he died on March 23, 2010. I went to Fort Leavenworth, KS to attend his burial (military).
So now some days are good and some are bad but....??!!
Further update. So far I am doing well. Still living in the same place for 45 years come this Dec. 2016. Do a lot of quilting. My daughter-in-law's mother got me interested and started in 2010. I also make pillow cases to go along with the quilts for a group called Quilts of Valor which are given to vets in halfway houses until they get on their feet. They are given the quilt and all the bedding to take with them once they leave. Have gone pretty much organic which my husband and I had started to do before he passed away.
