Bernadette's Story
Born in Pensacola, Florida on April 1, 1961. Attended Booker T. Washington (Class of 1979). My father was Frank Kyle - the head dean at WHS. I played basketball and ran track during my high school years.
Attended Bethune Cookman 1978-79. Left attended another college and return to graduate in December of 1983. Lived in the New Women's Dorm the first time (it didn't have a name then)and McCollum Hall the second time. Used to hang out with Ruth Williams, Mentoria Mobley, Connie Way. Also hung out with Kevin Griffin on the football team. The second time around I hung out with JJ Gabriel, Lisa Boney, Rolando Burris and dated Reggie Rucker on the football team.
I taught at Brentwood Middle, Pine Forest, Workman and then in Atlanta at Salem Middle School and Tri-Cities High School. I was the girls' basketball and track coach at these schools. ...Expand for more
Presently teaching at Physical Education in Pensacola, Florida at West Florida High School. I also am the girls' head coach for basketball and track.
I am the department head and I am the sponsor for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. We are an "A" high school 4 years in a row. I love my job and try to be a role model for my students. I run and teach aerobics and try to eat healthy. I enjoy being physically active and believe it helps make you well balanced.
I am recently divorced and learning to adapt to this new lifestyle. I haven't been single in 15 years so this will be a new experience. I have taken back my maiden name so my last name is Kyle.
I plan to adopt a baby soon and start motherhood at 48. I believe I can have lots of love to give and I am looking forward to being someone's mama. I feel it will make my life complete.
