Bernard's Story
After graduating from Atkins, I continued on to North Carolina A&T majoring in mechanical engineering. Upon completion of college, I received my engineering degree and a commission in the Air Force as a lieutenant. I received orders from the U.S. Air Force to to move westward to participate in their missile and satellite system programs. For the most part, I remained in California since then. ent to work in the aerospace industry as a systems engineer. These days I am back and forth between work and retirement.
I am divorced and have a grown son and daughter. I'm now living in southern California near Los Angeles.
Some of my favorite things to do are watch a good movie, go bike riding along the beach, go to a play or concert,
and travel. My favorite music is jazz and old school. I have a pretty good collection of both.
