Bernarr's Story
Got a BS in Physics from IIT, and went on to UCSD in grad school Physics, but soon changed out of that field amid the turmoil of the 60's and ended up in the Peace Corps in Malaysia teaching high school Science and Math. Returning to the USA, worked in Illinois for a year, in Seattle area for a year, got married (my first real love) and both of us attended San Jose State Univ. where I got an MS in Psychology and a divorce as well :-(
Worked as human factors specialist for 4 yrs., bought 5 acres and a new house in Seattle area and moved to the house with the intention of building my own home on the acreage. Moved back to California soon thereafter (just too ...Expand for more
rainy & cold in Seattle area). I ended up working in the pharmaceutical industry for 16 years in the San Francisco Bay area while living in Santa Cruz. Got married again during that time and we moved to Southern California in 2002, quitting our jobs to invest in commercial real estate. We have been working independently since then investing in commercial real estate and other areas.
We have 2 wonderful children: our daughter is attending UC Davis, and our son attending UC Santa Barbara.
Wow; life takes some interesting turns. Regrettably, I have not attended any reunions mostly due to living on the West Coast. I look forward to hearing from any "old" friends.
