Bernhard's Story
Well a lot has happened in almost 20 years... but here we go...
Gradualted in 1989. Went to college at Florida Institute of Technology (now called Florida Tech) in Melbourne, FL. Graduated in 1993 with a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
Got a National Scinece Foundation Fellowship, went to get a Master's and PhD in Mcechnical Engineering at the University of Florida in Gainesille, FL (GO GATORS!!) in 1996 and 1999.
Between the Masters and PhD (1996- 1997) I went to...Expand for more
Livermore,CA for a year and worked for Sandia National Laboratories (SNL).
In 1998 I went to Albuquerque, NM and interned at SNL where I met my future wife (Brandy Staas).
Moved to Albuquerque in 1999
Got married in 2000 and have a great step-daughter Gabriella.
We had Nikolaus in 2003.
I still work for Sandia Labs (10 years this year - Can you believe it?) and love it. We really enjoy the desert SW.
That's the 'no-frills' tour. Maybe I'll add some more entertainment later on!
