Bernice Bonnie's Story
My legal name is Bernice but I've been called Bonnie all my life. I attended Jefferson High School and Lewis & Clark College. I worked ten years at Freightliner Corp as an administrative.assistant,. and 22 years for the Portland SD as project coordinator within the department of special education. I took off ten years to raise my two sons.
I love to travel and enjoy the outdoors. I like Copeland, Gershwin, and "live music". Enjoy movies with good stories.. Like most anything on OPB
I remember this quote hanging on the wall at Jefferson:""And no one shall work for ...Expand for more
the money, and no one shall work for the fame, but each for the joy of the working, and in each in his own special star, shall work for the thing as he sees it for the God of the things as they are". I like money, but also the idea expressed by Rudyard Kipling".
My maiden name was Orvis. I am 79 (gulp!) have two sons, and two granddaughters. My husband of 40 years died in 1999 of cancer so I've been alone for 15 years..I manage to keep busy. I do not think of my life as behind me. Every day brings something new. Life is good and I feel blest to be a part of it.".
